I'm Ottaviano Brando — but most people call me Otto.
It's quicker, and it has a nice ring to it. With years of experience in lighting, CG supervision and storytelling, I've contributed to over 40 projects with top studios such as Framestore, Cinesite, Mikros Animation and many more.
As a CG Supervisor I've learned to lead teams with empathy, solve creative and technical challenges under pressure, and hold a high bar for visual quality — always keeping the client's vision at the core of the process. Founding Uchi VFX let me collaborate with artists across Europe, crafting images that don't just look great but connect emotionally with audiences.
Today I'm a partner at Kinopatia, where I lead the expansion of the VFX and animated series division. We're building an ambitious roadmap of original and branded content with a strong cinematic identity, and we're ready to scale our productions internationally.
My passion for photography led me to create a lighting course on Shortcut Project, to help train the next generation of artists. Mentorship and knowledge sharing are at the heart of how I work and grow with others.
